to the Renting with Rover
website.
This site is a project of Near North Housing
Service Inc and is designed to give you some basic information to
start young people on their way to renting a place to live in Queensland.
It does not cover all the things that might affect you but it does
give you some idea of what it is all about.
If you want more information you can contact the Tenant Advice &
Advocacy Service and talk to a Tenancy Advice Worker who will be
able to answer your questions or give you some information and advice
to help you out. You can also check out our other website at www.tenancyadvice.org.au.
When you decide to leave home and rent a place to live there are
many things you should think about before you dive in at the deep
end. These include:-

What type of place do you want to live in.

Where do you want to live - take into account transport, location
to shops, work, family, friends and school or college even.

How much can you afford to pay - remember you have other expenses
not just the rent, you need to allow money for food, electricty,
gas, fun, clothes, transport and other expenses you might have.

Do you want to live on your own or share with someone.
All
these things will make a difference when you decide on a place you
want to move into.
